Certificate applicants
Applicants wishing to be enrolled into various Certificate programmes should apply (Landmark Institute of Education Science and Technology) to the appropriate program or by filling application forms which can be obtained from Admission Office in the Main Administration Building. Applications to all programmes must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of twenty thousand shillings only (30,000) for Tanzanians and USD 20 for foreign applicants paid through Landmark Bank Account.
- All applications must be accompanied by genuine copies of relevant certificates and four passport size photographs. Applications without photocopies of certificates and bank pay slip will not be considered
- Applications with Foreign Secondary School Certificates should be accompanied by National Examinations Council (NECTA) Equivalence translations.
- All applicants should meet the minimum stated qualifications. Applications which will not meet stated qualifications will not be processed.
- Candidates applying for certificate and diploma courses should return, the application forms duly filled not later than 30th September 2024, to the undersigned.
General Admission Requirements
- Admission will be granted if a candidate meets the minimum requirements as shown in this section and under specific programmes or as determined by the BOARD and in accordance with the capacities of the respective Certificate programmes.
- The minimum requirements for admission of direct applicants into Certificate programmes shall be FOUR PASSES (4.0 points of the current NECTA grading system) in the Ordinary Level Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or National Vocational Award (NVA) 3 from VETA or its equivalent recognised by VETA or General Certificate of Engineering (GCE) from NECTA.
- An equivalent candidate for Certificate programmes shall be required to have a Certificate from a college/Institute recognized by NACTE with a GPA of not less than 2.7 and a minimum of FOUR passes in relevant subjects in the certificate of Secondary School Education Examination (CSEE; O-level).
- Direct candidates for NTA Level 5 shall be required to have an A-level certificate with at least one principal pass or two passes in ACSEE with minimum total TWO points in one/two subjects from among subjects prescribed as relevant to the diploma programme.
- An equivalent candidate for NTA Level 5 programme will be required to have a relevant post-O-level certificate of at least Credit level and O-level certificate with at least FOUR passes or THREE credits in relevant subjects.
- A candidate for NTA Level 4 programme will be required to have an O-Level Certificate with at least FOUR passes in relevant subjects.
